Yummy Lunch Date @ Tampopo

I brought my little guy to Orchard today to dine at our favourite Japanese restaurant Tampopo. My little guy is a huge Lego fan and he can spend long period of time on his own playing with his Lego blocks which gives mummy more time to catch up on the endless household chores ;)

We went to the newly opened Bricks World at Ngee Ann City and the staff there was really helpful and gave me useful informations on which Lego set would be more suitable and is on discount :) My little guy was so pleased with his purchase and insisted on carrying the box on his own. Do check out the store and they have a little area for kids to play with the blocks which my little guy loves.

Fun Time @ Sembawang Park :)

My little guy has been asking me to bring him to Sembawang Park to play sand several times and i finally brought him there earlier since the weather was bright and sunny. He had a great time running around the park exploring and enjoying the sea breeze with a new doggie friend. It was a pity the boardwalk was under construction and he could not take a nice stroll there. I thought the construction was long completed and its strange that its under construction again. I was so happy to see my little guy enjoying himself and outdoor play is definitely the best for kids :)

First D.I.Y. Home Activity With My Boy :)

Sorry for the lack of posts recently as i have been busy lately taking care of my boy and cooking for him since he prefers to eat home cooked food nowadays.  He only loves to eat Japanese food when we dine out. The little guy really has a mind of his own and constantly amazes us with the things that he says.

He was hospitalised for 2 nights recently for bronchitis and the poor boy lost a lot of weight as he did not have much appetite and i'm glad that he has recovered and is his usual happy go lucky self :) We were really thankful that we bought full coverage insurance for him and did not have to pay for his hospital stay at Thomson Medical Centre. We were able to have a comfortable stay there as we got a single room. The first thing that new parents should do is definitely to buy full insurance coverage for your baby.

We have also been busy visiting schools as he will be going school next year and have finally found a school that has lot of outdoor activities and will let my boy learn through play. We want him to enjoy his childhood and do not wish to stress him and place him in a place that only focuses on academic. He also likes the school environment and has been telling us that he wants to go to that school. I really hope that he will have fun in school and i'm planning to do more D.I.Y home learning activities with him for the rest of the year. You can find picture of our first D.I.Y. activities above and the theme for the week is his favorite cat.

Feeling Emotional...

30 March 2015…the day my baby finally weans off his milk bottle and starts drinking his fresh milk from his new Munchkin straw bottle after several failed attempts and changed of water bottles :) My little guy turns 2 this month and we went to the Zoo and River Safari on his birthday and he had lot of his favorite ice cream and cake treats this month. I will share more pictures soon.

Dearest J, you will always be mummy's baby and the person i love the most in the world. I hope you will stay healthy and happy always. He was supposed to attend playgroup since last November but hubby and i have not been comfortable with the idea of him attending school at such a young age and we decided to heed his PD's advice to start school at 3 so as to build up his immune system and since i'm able to stay home to take care of him. I look forward to more fun adventures with my little guy and cooking more delicious and nutritious meals for him.

Saying Our Farewell To Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Even as i'm typing now there are thousands of Singaporeans queuing patiently at the Padang under the scorching hot sun so that they can pay their last respect to our dear founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. It was a touching sight to see my fellow Singaporeans, both young and old queuing orderly and quietly in the middle of the night when i was there with my mum on the first night. We are really thankful that we had a chance to pay our last respect to him. Thank you Mr Lee for all you have done for Singapore and rest in peace.

Farewell To Singapore Founding Father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew

I'm deeply saddened that our beloved founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew has passed away today and our whole nation mourns his passing. There was a time when people said that Singapore won't make it but we did! It was all thanks to Mr Lee who worked tirelessly his whole life so that we and future generations of Singaporeans can be proud to call Singapore our home. I'm really grateful for all that you and the first generation of leaders have done for our country during those difficult times when we declared independence. Rest in peace, Sir and  Majulah Singapura!

Lovely Birthday Celebrations With My Love Ones At Sea Aquarium :)

We went Sea Aquarium and Ocean Restaurant awhile back to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely time there. I love the 4 course lunch set at Ocean Restaurant especially the onion soup but i was busy feeding my little guy too and did not take pictures of all the dishes.

My little guy loves his ice cream treat and even decided to feed himself :) He loves looking at fishes nowadays and had a wonderful time looking at all the fishes in the Aquarium and kept saying "fish" non stop and pointing to the fishes that caught his attention. Kids really grow up very fast and my little guy has started to say more words and is able to better express himself and understand more of what we are saying to him.

He can now tell me clearly "no mummy" whenever he does not want me to do certain things and say "nite nite to everyone he knows" before he goes to bed. My birthday wish is for my dear little one to stay healthy and happy and hopefully the dreaded "terrible twos" will stay far far away from him as he turns 2 soon in March.

I love my sweet little guy more and more each day and loves seeing his happy smiley face and cute laughter. I loves spending time with him more and more and loves bringing him out. He enjoys wondering around the library and looking for books on his favorite big trucks and cars. He also likes meeting up with his little friends and playing bubbles with them at the playground. I feel really blessed to have this sweet little one in my life and thankful to hubby for working hard to enable me to be a stay at home mum so that i can spend lot of time with our little guy and witness him reaching all his important milestones.

Fun time exploring Ang Mo Kio

It has been a long time since i went back to Ang Mo Kio Central and going there really brings back lots of fond memories. Ang Mo Kio was my home for 23 years and i have always enjoy shopping at Ang Mo Kio Central with my family when i was a kid. I brought my boy there this morning to try out my favorite crispy carrot cake at Ang Mo Kio market.

Yummylicious carrot cake

I'm glad that my boy loves it too and had a fun time exploring Ang Mo Kio Central and checking out the Chinese New Year decors. We also bought some of his favorite traditional cream cake from Pine Garden. They have opened a branch at Ang Mo Kio Hub, level 1 and it is now more convenient to purchase our favorites cakes there :)

I'm planning to bring my boy to Ang Mo Kio Garden and library during our next trip so that i can show him more of my other childhood haunts and hopefully he will have a great time too :)
