Eat Less, Live Longer

Want to add 4.5 years to your life? Consume 300 to 500 calories less each day, say researchers from Saint Louis University in the US. That's equivalent to skipping dessert or replacing a fast-food meal with a sandwich. Scientists are not certain how calorie restriction slows down ageing, but it is believed that this slows down the metabolic rate of cells, so the body produces less damaging free radicals.
