I'm so pissed off with Starhub Cable TV as i have been subscribing to its "All Time Favourites Value Pack" which comprises of 4 Basic Groups, Sports Group, VV Drama, 1 Movies Channel (HBO/Star Movies) and free 1st Digital Set-Top box rental for $67.41 monthly. Now they have just simply sent me a letter to inform me that they are discontinuing all Value Packs with the stupid excuse that "they are trying to simplify their price plans and to allow customers greater flexibility to choose their own mix of channels" with effect from 14 April 2009!!!! They should have just written directly that they are increasing the prices without making the excuse that it is for customer's benefits which really pisses me off.
So if i were to continue subscribing to the same channels now, i would end up paying more at S$71.69 monthly after a miserable S$10.70 discount for the first year and only if i still retain all the channels under my original "All Time Favourites Value Pack"!!! I would have to pay S$82.39 after the first year for the same channels as there would be no more discounts!!! I would also have to start paying S$4.28 monthly for the digital set-top box rental when it was waived off monthly when i signed the "All Times Favourite Value Pack". In this time of economy uncertainty, it is definitely not the time to raise prices especially with the unreasonable charge of S$26.75 monthly just for the sports group to catch my weekly English Premier League games.
I'm so pissed off with the way Starhub tries to "reward" loyal customers like me by squeezing more money out of me that i feel like just cancelling everything !!! Is that the way to reward and retain customers??? Maybe i should just go to the coffeeshop with my brother to watch the weekly soccer match or just search for it online.....this is really a very bad move by Starhub and i'm wondering if there are other people who are as pissed off with Starhub as me???

Me too sumtime quite angry with Starhub cable Tv.They kept on changing or cancel the channel.Making us needed to re-chose the program and pay more.ended up i choose to sub ultimate value pack plan with basic upsize costing $109(without GST)per mth.By the way,when signing up,the T&C 21 got stated "StarHub reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions (including price plans) at its discretion without prior notice. Use of StarHub CableTV services will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions and the amendments thereof."
