Dim Sum Lunch At Dragon Phoenix Restaurant (Admiral)

Hubby and i went to the Dragon Phoenix Restaurant at the Admiral Country Club (341 Old Nelson Road #01*03 Singapore 758694, Tel: 63333368) which is located quite near our place recently for a delicious and real sinful Dim Sum lunch after reading about the restaurant in an article in the recent "Straits Times". The restaurant has another branch at Novotel Hotel at Clarke Quay and we have been wanting to try the Dim Sum at this new branch at Admiral Country Club since it opened last year. The restaurant was featured in "The Straits Times" recently for its poor business (less than 10 diners a day) due to the slow development of the Admiral Country Club and poor location of the place. Not everyone is aware of the restaurant's location and more publicity should be done to attract the residents staying nearby to patronise it.

When we went there during a Saturday morning, the place was less than half full but the service staffs were really friendly and kept refilling our drinks and checking if all our orders were served. The food was also served very fast and i loved the Xiao Long Bao, Haw Gao, Char Siew Bao, and Siew Mai which were very delicious. However the Char Siew Rice Roll and Ngor Hiang were not that nice and we would skip that during our next visit. We spent more than 2 hours at the restaurant because of the relaxing environment. Hubby ordered Sago Honeydew and i had my favourite Teochew Yam Paste for dessert and it was really yummy and satisfying. We spent a total of $54.05 as we had ordered too much Dim Sum and packed some home to eat. We were given a $10 gift voucher which we can use for our next visit. Hopefully more people would know of the restaurant, especially those staying nearby in Sembawang and Yishun so that the business can improve and survive in the long run and we would be able to enjoy more delicious Dim Sum near our place :> Those interested can also go to the restaurant's website at www.dragonphoenix.com.sg for more information. Do take note that Dim Sum is served till 3pm daily.

My favourite Char Siew Bao, love the Char Siew!!

Hubby and i also took a nice stroll to explore the country club after such a heavy meal and it was quite relaxing walking around and checking out the place. There is also a Bar & Grill located next to the restaurant. Below are some pictures for those interested in finding out more about the place:
