Korean Drama - Likable Or Not / I Hate You, But It's Fine / 爱也好恨也好

I wrote about this drama previously (http://ladyjansneverland.blogspot.com/2009/03/korean-drama-likable-or-not-i-hate-you.html) and have been faithfully following each episodes since it started showing on Channel U every Monday to Friday, 7pm while eating my dinner. Even if i can't make it home in time, i would also try to record it or watch the episodes i missed online. I have added more pictures of the drama below for fellow fans of the drama. I really like this family drama for its interesting plot which centers on the daily lives of 3 families who are directly or indirectly related to one another. The drama is quite slow pace which is also good as it lets viewers follow each character's journey in life and how their relationship progresses. I enjoys watching how one of the main characters Baek Ho matures as he works in his stepfather's company and falls in love with his supervisor Dan Poong.

It is also very touching seeing how Baek Ho tries to improve his mother's relationship with her mother-in-law and stepdaughter. He rather suffers in silence than make things difficult for his mother after she remarries and they move to stay with her new husband's family. His step-grandma and stepsister keeps making things difficult for them and treats his mother like a servant. I also can't stand Baek Ho's stepsister Soo Ah, who is a selfish and spoiled rich girl and expects everyone around her to follow her wishes.

Soo Ah falls for Sun Jae who is the brother of Dan Poong and steals him away even though he has a girlfriend and was about to marry her. Sun Jae has no feelings for Soo Ah and only accepted her because he was facing problem at work and needed her family's help financially. Soo Ah's grandmother also plays a part in her being so spoiled as she would give her anything she wants and always covers for her when she is up to no good.

I also finds Dan Poong's parents very funny especially her father who is a civil servant in the drama and is a very honest and upright person. He is very sensitive about gifts that people gives him or his family as he does not want to have any conflict of interest with his job and is always bickering with his wife not to accept them but she always finds it hard to resist free gifts. His wife is friend with Baek Ho's mother and envies her for marrying a rich man and kept complaining to Dan Poong.

I saw the DVD set on sales at Poh Kim Video Store for about S$100+ which is too expensive. Hopefully the price would drop further and i might consider buying it :> For those who likes family drama with a heartwarming and touching plot, you should consider watching this drama.
