Park Yong Ha Discovered Dead At Home

I really hate posting depressing stuff on my blog but found this sad piece of news online earlier and can't help posting it as Park Yong Ha is one of my favourite Korean actors and i have wrote about his drama "On Air'" in my blog as i love the drama and had recently rewatched it. I still can't believe that Park Yong Ha has passed away!!! I love his acting and drama director character in "On Air" and has been looking forward to his upcoming drama series "Love Song", the remake of the epic Hong Kong romance "Tian Mi Mi" which was supposed to start filming in August and recently reported to star Yoon Eun Hye.

"Winter Sonata' actor Park Yong-ha found dead in apparent suicide"

Park Yong-ha, a Korean actor and singer, was found dead at his home in Seoul early Wednesday morning in what appeared to be a suicide, police said.

Park's body was found at his home in Nonhyun-dong, southern Seoul, at around 5:30 a.m. by his mother, police said, noting that he appeared to have hanged himself. No suicide note has been found.

According to his family, Park said "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," last night after massaging his father, who is terminally ill with stomach cancer.

His family and acquaintances said Park had been severely distressed by his father's disease. The 33-year-old actor and singer, who debuted in 1997, is widely known across Asia for his role in the 2002 hit drama series "Winter Sonata," and has also released song albums.

Last month, Park was cast as the leading role for a Korean television drama, which is a remake of the popular 1996 Hong Kong film, "Comrades, Almost a Love Story." The shooting was set to begin in July.

Sad World Cup Farewell For Japan

Just finshed watching the World Cup match between Japan and Paraguay and really feel sorry for Japan to lose out on penalty kicks after extra time :< really hate penalties which is such a cruel way of deciding a match winner.... It wasn't the most exciting match but i was rooting for Japan throughout the match and hoping Japan will represent Asia in the quarter finals but i guess it is not meant to be..... It was touching seeing the Japanese fans staying behind at the end of the match to show their support to their national team and some of the fans were crying.

Now waiting for the big match between Spain and Portugal which should be an exciting match :> Will be rooting for Portugal although i also like the Spanish team and have been catching all their matches so far. Was hoping to see both teams proceed to the semi-finals but too bad they are drawn together in this match and there can only be 1 winner.....

Another Of My Favourite Song From Glee- Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Get Happy Quickly by Writing One of These

Want to feel a whole lot happier? Right now? Then grab a pen and a thank-you card, and share some gratitude with someone.
When a group of students wrote a series of one-page thank-you letters every 2 weeks for 6 weeks, measurements showed that their baseline happiness levels increased by 20 percent.

What Is Happiness?
Science says that happiness is 50 percent genetic, 10 percent circumstances, and 40 percent intentional activity (i.e., what you do). With so much happiness attributed to your own actions, it makes sense to do things that make you feel good. For the study, that meant the students expressed gratitude in writing, and their happiness increased with each letter. Every month, try writing a couple of thank-you notes to people who did something nice for you. (This article helps explain how happy feelings directly affect your health.)

Great Performance By the Japanese In This World Cup

I really enjoyed Japan's match with Denmark yesterday and they showed great teamwork throughout the match and i was impressed with striker Keisuke Honda who was the man of the match. Two well-taken free kicks from Keisuke Honda and Yasuhito Endo helped Japan with a convincing 3-1 win over Denmark and i'm looking forward to more impressive performance from Japan and more spectacular goals from Keisuke Honda :> Visited 2 of my best pal's new homes earlier and had to rushed home so that i would be in time to catch Portugal's match with Brazil. My friend's hubby even wanted to book a cab so that he will reach home in time to catch the big match haha we are all really crazy World Cup fans ;>

Just finished watching Portugal's match with Brazil and what a pity Cristiano Ronaldo did not score in the match. But will be looking forward to Portugal's next match. Now waiting for Spain's match with Chile and hopefully Spain will win as i do not wish to see a repeat of Italy's shocking exit out of the World Cup happening to Spain too :<

Still Hooked To Nancy Drew Books :>

I managed to reserve all 3 books in Nancy Drew's latest Eco Mystery Trilogy from the library and still finds it a joy reading her books even though it is meant for teenagers :>

What was supposed to be a blissed-out vacation at a pristine eco-resort has turned into one of the biggest cases of my life. And just as we were getting into it, Bess, George, and I had to return to River Heights. But, it looks like the case has followed us home. Now that I'm back on my home turf, I can investigate Cristobal's mysterious American girlfriend further -- I'm sure she has more to do with the sabotaging of the Casa Verde resort than her boyfriend and resort owner, Cristobal, would let on.

But as I've so often come to find out, this case goes much deeper the more I scratch the surface. Who are these mysterious people Cristobal and his girlfriend are involved with? And what is their plan? I'm on the case and determined to find out!

Hong Kong Drama - In The Eye Of The Beholder

I have been watching this entertaining and funny 20 episodes Hong Kong TVB  period drama starring Myolie Wu and Moses Chan recently. The drama was shown in Hong Kong in March 2010 and i have been hoping to watch it as it stars my favourite artistes like Myolie Wu and Moses Chan. Moses Chan was funny and charming as Tong Bak Fu and shares great chemistry in the drama with Myolie Wu.

In search of the last model for his painting “Nine Pretty Women”, acclaimed scholar Tong Bak Fu (Moses Chan) goes on a trip to Hangzhou with his ardent disciple Wat Gei (Johnson Lee). While there, he meets a pretty young maid from Wah’s Residence, Chau Heung (Myolie Wu). Fu is mesmerized by Heung’s beauty and martial agility and falls in love with her right away. In order to approach the girl, he disguises as a servant and assumes the pseudonym Wah On, seeking to win her affections with his talent and ingenuity.

But contrary to his wishes, Heung is unmoved and even harbours an intense dislike for him after a series of misunderstandings. Master of the family Wah Hung Shan (Ha Yu) knew from the very beginning that Fu is not a common man. By the time his true identity is revealed, the scholar has already developed a close bond with the whole of the family, except Heung.

In the meantime, Ning Wong (Savio Tsang), who has been attempting to rebel against Emperor Ching Tak (Chris Lai), has managed to involve Fu in his conspiracy by stratagem, thus getting the man and the Wahs into big trouble. Ning’s daughter Chu Ting Yuk (Fala Chen) is in love with Fu. Desperate to save her dream man, she forces Ling to release Fu by threatening to kill herself. Yuk’s consuming passion for Fu seems to have caused a ripple of unease in Heung, who is starting to feel a little twinge of jealousy inside.....
